BARRIERE LAKE WORKING GROUP

PURPOSE: To coordinate the Congregation’s support of the Algonquins of Barriere Lake, at Rapid Lake, Quebec.

ACTIVITIES: We collect books for the school and the community library, and provide some computer support to the school, plus other assistance if requested by the band.

OPPORTUNITIES: Trips to Rapid Lake (4 hours drive each way) to deliver donations; computer and network repairs plus training for the teachers and technicians in the school; computer tutoring for community members.
