Hitschmanova Working Group (formerly Sanctuary Committee) CONTACT: Phil Nagy, 789-7032, phil.nagy@excite.com PURPOSE/ACTIVITIES: This group evolved from the Sanctuary Committee. One of its purposes is to lobby the federal government in conjunction with other groups to bring about a fair refugee policy. It also works on settlement issues for the Mia family and works with the Refugee Working Group when warranted. OPPORTUNITIES: Many new people are needed to help the Mia family and to help lobby the federal government. MEETINGS: Monthy, more often when necessary.
