PURPOSE: The Partner Church Program was established in
1996 by Unitarian Universalist congregations in order to
provide support to and maintain friendship with Unitarian
congregations in Hungary and in Transylvania (Romania). The
First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa adopted the Gyor
Congregation in northwest Hungary.

ACTIVITIES/OPPORTUNITIES: Fundraising, lunches, and bake sales: the revenue from these is being used to assist with renovation expenses in Gyor. It is hoped that some day a church will be built.

MEETINGS: Second Sunday of each month.
