Peace Watch Working Group

(formerly Peace & Disarmament)

PURPOSE: This group believes that, in today’s world, the
goals of peace and disarmament are important.

ACTIVITIES/OPPORTUNITIES: Allocate funds from SRC;
bring peace & disarmament issues/events to the attention of the Congregation; keep in touch with the minister on issues, sermon coordination, etc; keep contact/participate with/in larger groups/local events; sponsor congregational activities such as letter writing, petitions, speakers, slide shows, & pot-lucks; consider important, urgent local and/or worldwide issues as they arise; organize a summer service on a topical issue.

MEETINGS: Monthly September-May, usually the last
Sunday at 12:15 pm .
