From the confluence of the Ottawa, the Gatineau, and the Rideau Rivers west to Chaudierre Falls.

In August of 2000, First Unitarian Congregation adopted 2.6 km of the Ottawa Riverbank, from the west end of Westboro Beach to the west side of the inlet pond at the Deschenes Rapids Outlook off the Ottawa River Parkway near Woodroffe Avenue. (see air photo below)

Each spring and fall there are riverbank cleanup walks. Naturalists are brought in for riverbank hikes several times a year. The riverbank plays a prominent part in some of our youth programs and religious exploration for children.

Our sanctuary faces the river with its tall clear glass windows giving a yer round view of the river behind the service leaders. Rev. Kopke has been heard saying, "With a view like that, there is no such thing as a bad Sunday. If I am off the mark - there is allways the river for spiritual uplift!"
