Steering Group And Awards Panel

CONTACT:

PURPOSE: The Steering Group is responsible for administrative and coordination functions, with representation from each of the designated Social Responsibilities working groups. An Awards Panel of three, appointed by the Board, is responsible for evaluating the written requests for funding from the working groups, and awarding funds up to the total level of 4% of pledges in each fiscal year.
MEETINGS: One annual meeting; others as required.

The working groups represent the operational arm of the Social Responsibilities Committee. The various groups, which may change from time to time, are formed to address issues of concern in the community and globally.

Any group of persons in the Congregation, at least six in number and in keeping with the principles and aims of social responsibility, may initiate a new group and become part of the SRC family.

The links at the top right provide descriptions which define our current working groups and their volunteer opportunities. Volunteering is a good way to bring meaning to your life..
